Carmelo actually "sucker slapped" him like a wus, then ran away.

Nowhere close to being as awesome as the Pacers/Pistons brawl. I still watch clips of that and just laugh. :rofl

Hah, that might be true. I only saw it briefly live. It looked like a punch to me. From all the comotion it looked like he was jerked away instead of "running away".

Either way, Carmelo should be suspended the rest of the season in my opinion. As well as whoever else threw punches. Having a shove contest is one thing, but punching is a completely different situation.

No, he wasn't pulled away. He ran away.

I believe he should be suspended for at least 15 games.

Wow, good call on that one.

Seven players suspended for a total of 47 games.

The Bengals just got supplanted for "Most embarrassing franchise of the year."

Actually, I think it should be more sever with him. He is supposed to be a role model for his team mates and then he does something like this....

Professional sports has got to be the only job where you can punch someone and not get fired.

To be honest, I really think they need to ban someone for life just to make an example of him. Pro sports is just that, PROFESSIONAL, and you should have the professionalism not to punch the **** out of someone.

pfft, they should just let them fight it out like in ice hockey.. Big babies.

I bet they would never ban for life a popular player. The fans would freak out. Many of them don't care about stuff like this, it's entertainment. They just want their team to win and that's IT.

That's the point. The fans would freak out. It would be huge news, and many people would disagree. BUT, I can guarantee you every player on the court would think thrice before throwing a punch and possibly throwing away their multimillion dollar career.

I doubt carmello anthony is smart enough to read and write (if you've seen him talk in interviews you know what I'm talking about). He would probably end up being homeless without basketball.

lol

If the fans are going to freak out, then they won't do it. The fans are their customerbase and they always try to walk that fine line where they keep the fans happy while appearing to do something about the problem at the same time. To fire someone permanently, especially someone popular with the fans, would result in a very unhappy customerbase. Which is why it hasn't happened yet.

Won't ever happen. A name like Carmelo will bring people to the arenas. Why ban your meal ticket?

Just like that fool Terell Owens. If he was not who who he is on the field, he would've been jobless a long time ago.

You want to know the best part of it all?

The Knicks and Nuggets got all upset over a game that has ZERO importance. Win or lose, both teams are still some of the worst in the NBA. Lets be serious, they have a higher chance at getting killed by a terrorist than making it to the NBA finals. :p
