FX 5200 DVI problem

I've had a chaintech FX5200 ultra card for a couple of years. Recently I bought an ACER AL22216W LCD. The VGA connection works perfectly. But I can not get the DVI connection to work after trying various things with both nVidia driver control and the LCD menu. The ACER LCD has an DVI-D input.

Does anyone have similar problem? Is there a solution?
