Heh, some of it I agree with, although I don't buy the artificial shortage bit. Why would either of them not want to sell consoles? Nintendo makes money on each one sold, and Sony needs consoles out there so people will buy games. Maybe it increases demand a little, but that's certainly backfired on Sony and Nintendo seems to get more popular the more people try it, so there's no real reason for them not to ship every single one they have. But, it's an editorial and he's trolling for hits so more power to him.:)

blah blah blah. I didn't buy a PS3 at launch for the same reason I didn't buy an x360 at launch. Please tell me no one here actually likes Perfect Dark Zero

I liked Kameo, PGR3, and Condemned actually.

Kameo left me unimpressed, but PGR3 was good, and Condemned especially impressed me since I'd heard so little about it. Such an under rated title.

the XBox 360 actually had one or two decent launch titles.

Kameo left me unimpressed,

To be honest, Kameo reminded me of a watered-down version of Zelda. The graphics of course where ahead of it by leaps and bounds, but as far as the game play was concerned it was like a weak version of Zelda. So I pretty much enjoyed it. Would love to have a sequel.

the XBox 360 actually had one or two decent launch titles.

Well more importantly, they had good exclusive titles. Kameo, Project Gotham Racing 3 and Condemned come to mind. Although I think Condemned was on the PC too...but are we really going to count the PC in the console wars? Well, either way, the 360 had the advantage of being the first Hi-Def console. It was a killer app for many gamers that motivated them to buy an HD-TV, and it blew people away first.

Now the PS3 is coming out, and yeah it does HD...a year late. And yeah, it has a lot of HD titles, most of which are on the 360. And of the exclusives it does have, only Resistance is any good.

To be honest, it just felt like the game needed more love. It had some solid mechanics, although the boss fight where you had to ram bombs through a ramp and at a boss, then quickly transform and dive into the water (with now inverted axis) was frustrating as hell. I stopped playing shortly after I beat that, it just sucked the fun out. And to be honest, most of the game felt somewhat uninspired. I sort of wanted it to just be over with so I could get my achievement points. Okami sort of had the same effect, but to a lesser degree since I was actually able to finish it even though it was 50 or 60 hours long.

To be honest, if Okami had more hidden nooks, cranies and caves like Twilight Princess, I almost would have said it did a better Zelda style adventure than Zelda! And perhaps a bit more cohesion between the different chapters of the game as well.

I loved Perfect Dark. Great visuals for it's time. The gameplay was rather drab and the storyline could have been better but the visuals left me in awe.

I didnt care for PGR3 or Kameo. I agree that Kameo felt like a visually upgraded Zelda (minus the fun gameplay) and PGR3 was just weird...I didnt hate it, but I didnt particularly like it either.

Condemned....now theres the most underrated game on the system. I picked up the pc version back in May and still play it like nuts.

Are yout nuts? It isn't even watered down. It is like Zelda but with out all the things that made Zelda fun. It was a empty game that did not keep your attention. Great graphics and I wanted to like it but I lost intrest in it. I rarely say I didn't like a game but this game was just boring. Proof that graphics do not make the game.

Either this guy actually knows what he is talking about or he is just pissed that he couldn’t get a PS3.

I thought Kameo was pretty fun as was CoD2 and Condemned but I did not buy my system until March so I could play Oblivion. The last consoles I bought at launch was the original Playstation which I got rather easy because it was a rookie system at the time with no where near the fanfare of the PS2 launch and Nintendo64 so I could play Mario.
