Hi all,

I'm having an issue with the memory modules installed in my P5N32-SLI Premium. I have a GEIL dual kit 2GB PC2-5300 667mhz at 5-5-5-15 installed in channel A and B of the motherboard (dual channel). Yet upon bootup, it claims that these memory modules are only 512mb each. The authenticity label on the memory modules clearly states that they are 1GB each. Also, in the BIOS, i have set the memory timings to auto (results in 5-4-4-14) and to manual (set to the recommended timings of 5-5-5-15) to no avail.

BIOS version : 0603.

Does anyone know what I might have missed to make the motherboard recognize the memory modules as 1GB each? Or could it be the they are mislabeled? I don't have another motherboard to test them on.

Thanx
Ben

What happens if you install just one stick at a time does it report 512MB or 1GB with each stick?

If it just reports 512MB then you have mislabeled sticks.
