View Full Version : The console forum out of control?
Just curious if anyone moderates this forum. Basically someone is flamed in every single post.
It's sad to see how some of the veteran posters carry themselves in there and I know this type of behavior is not allowed in other forum sections.
I now only go in there only for entertainment purposes. Threads like these http://www.nvnews.net/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=82623 make my day and have nothing to do with consoles at all. If you want to let off a bit of steam, just go into that forum.

Thank you for making this thread Zeta. It seriously is out of control. Just cant understand why the same people keep exhibiting the same disruptive behavior in almost all threads but whats more upsetting is the encouragement they same to get from other long time members.
Because its a console section shouldn't mean childish behavior should get a free pass.Thanks for stepping in MikeC because its my favorite section these days and would like to see it kept cool and clean like the PC section and other forums.

yea i went to that forum for like 5 days, and i dont think im ever going back again. if you say PS3 has a good feature then theyll make it sound like you want to start another holocaust.

Yeah especially the way so many people try to push the "consoles arent just for kiddies" thing. I know they aren't, but come on... at least practice what you preach. :p
Seriously. Personally, I think anyone using kiddie-speak (or whatever it's called) should be banned for a week. It gives me a headache even trying to read the console forum threads.

You'll notice I make it a point to try and use correct grammar and spelling in every post I make. Whenever I type like that, it's because I'm making fun of whatever the topic is. In that case, the Cell and Sony's hype that it would save the world.
I'll admit though, I'm getting sick of making fun of Sony and will likely just read the threads from now on.

I don't care who it's making fun of. I'm just tired of seeing the "1337 speak". I just grabbed that post b/c it was close in the thread I was looking at. I didn't mention the poster b/c that wasn't the point. IMO, it's just tiresome at this point. I feel like I should be able to browse the console forum without having to deal with posts like that. In most of other forums, people mostly speak english, although it is sometimes broken since not everyone speaks english natively. Still, that's a godsend over the "1337 speak". Again, IMHO.

i think the console forum is the most entertaining forum here, w/ chris being the most entertaining person on the forum, between him and mr. hunt, i've actually laughed to the point where i've had tears in my eyes
the way i look at it, chris is like a professor, and when all these ppl "students" come in and challenge chris, he puts them back in their place, usually degrating and hilariously to boot
