hey folks, Bigman here with a question on good gaming mice.

I know that Logitech is the fav in gaming gear, but of the mice currenty out, what is the most popular and best mouse amongst you gamers here?

I Got the MX revolution but all though very happy with its movement, not to pleased with button asignments.

I am looking at G5 Gaming mouse for wired or G7 for Wireless but since my keyboard is a g15 gaming keyboard, im probably going with the G5.

I love my MX518. I cannot go back to a mouse with just one thumb button.

I picked up the MX Revolution and i don't think its a gaming mouse is it? It doesn't seem to be cuz of the way the button macros work on it. I had to geta G15 keyboard usb cuz the wireless bluetooth one i had kept skipping out when typing or gaming so i want something to match it.

It's a gaming mouse, but you have to get some extra software to customize it. It's called uberoptions. (http://www.mstarmetro.net/~rlowens/uberOptions/)

mm, I don't think the MX revolution was designed as a gaming mouse. It is only 800DPI versus the G7/G5's 2000DPI. I have a G7 and love it.

the little box that came with the ouse has black ans silver weights with it. I use the 4Gram weights making this baby heavy for my big bad ass hands of mine.

That's the G5 if I'm not mistaken. The G7 doesn't have any weights.

Mr Bigman was probably trying to carry the mouse with Mr Littleman which lives in his pants, but due to Mr Littleman being so small that his existence would technically be called a myth(nana2) , Mr Bigman had to buy himself some weights to spear himself in the groin with the bar so that it would sticks out his rear end so that he could then place the plastic bag with the G7 mouse on the bar and then use the weights to balance it... Thus Teh Bigman turned out like this...

I need to get a hold of a G5 in person as I see some people complain about the scroll wheel on them.

the scroll wheel is my only real complaint about the g5. it just feels cheap to me. that and the weights are sorta retarded.

I was looking at the Razer line and noticed that there is supposed to be a Deathadder version coming out this month so I am curious how that will be.

hmm, I might get me one, but for now, my Microsoft Comfort 3000 seems to work pretty good :)

but I would like a wired one, not a big fan of wireless (im lazy to change batteries/recharge them)

You sure you didnt' get the G5? It comes with weights...the G7 doesn't though. It's heavier because of the battery.

I have the G7 (no weights come with a G7) and the MX Rev.

Perfect combo, though it would be nice if the MX Rev had the resolution of the G7. I'd dump the G7 in a heartbeat if it did. Well, maybe not because I love the free scroll and the second scroll wheel, which I use to control Volume via uberoptions.

I also like the weight of the G7, the feel, and the glide it has due to the feet they put on it. Man, I guess I'm full-circle back to having both is the ultimate :D

I have the Razer Copperhead... its a really nice mouse, but the one thing I don't like about it is it seems too light....

I'd go with a Habu if I were to buy a new gaming mouse! :) And don't forget to get a new nice mouse pad as well! I bet you could get a bundle pretty cheap.
