last time prices for sound blaster dropped this low was when i bought Audigy 2, 3 weeks later Audigy 2 ZS was released

That would be pretty awesome if there was a refresh on the way...not that I need an new soundcard...my Fatal1ty is fantastic. If anything I think I'd get new speakers (Z5500's anyone?) before I got a new soundcard.

cant wait for my card to arrive. should be nice with my z-5300 5.1 speakers. way better than the hercules gamesurround fortissimo 7.1 im using now.

Z5500's for sure. Makes me wonder when Logitech is coming out with something new as well. I bet they'll release a 7.1 in another year or so.

I wonder if they are bringing in a refresh, I'd consider getting a new one for my rig and putting my platinum in my media center pc.

Dude, you're going to love this soundcard/speaker combination. It's teh awesome.

I recommend checking out the review I did of my Elite Pro (link in my sig) and seeing the last few pages where I went through how I set up my speakers/soundcard for what I consider the best sound possible. You may not like it, but give it a shot. :D
