Hello all and sorry if this question has already been posted, but I am considering adding another 8800GTX to my system and realize that I will need to upgrade my current PSU to do it and I am having some trouble deciding which PSU to go with. So far I have nailed my choices down to the following:

PC Power & Cooling Silencer 750 Quad
PC Power & Cooling Turbo Cool 1KW-SR 1000W
PC Power & Cooling 1KW-Quad SLI (TC1KW4E) 1000W
CoolerMaster Real Power Pro 850W (RS-850-EMBA)

I understand that going with the 1KW PC Power and Cooling would be the obvious choice and my case would fit the install, but was wondering about the 750 silencer or the 850 CoolerMaster. Any suggestions would greatly help here, thanks guys.

Thanks, so you wouldn't recommend the CoolerMaster?

Looks like the Cooler Master is a winner for me! No issues what so ever so far and it looks nice and runs quite as well.

The PC Power & Cooling Silencer 610 would be plenty of power to run your 8800GTX SLI setup it puts out 49amps on the 12 volt rail. But any of those power supplies you have listed will work fine ,it is just according to how much money you want to spend. But the PC Power & Cooling Silencer 750 would be a good choice out of the ones you have listed,it has 60 amps on the 12v rail. But some people have as little as 500watts and 36amps running a 8800GTX SLI setup, but I would rather have too much power then just barely makeing it.

hah um no?

1 gtx requires 28A. that means two would require 56.

If what you say is true then people using my current psu can run it fine, (700w ocz, 54a) and they all have trouble one way or another.

the minumum i would say is this:
750 w pcp&c silencer

but for good measure this thing comes with 4 pci-e connectors:

1 kw pcp&c 1 KW-SR
