Hello guys,

I have a Radeon 9700 in my old box that has started to behave oddly, even after a fresh WinXP install - it boots up in XP with no acceleration. Sometimes it refuces to run CoD 2 due to missing OpelGL support. And now Direct X is not working. Even the test graphics in catalyst control panel complain about no support/can not render.

So, is there something similar to memtest86 that can be run independet of OS? To sort a isolate the problem and test only the card. I have tested mem and cpu .

thnx.

The only way would be to find another video card and test it out. Though to be honest, your 9700 was probably tired of ATI's crappy OpenGL support so it went on strike. :p
