The Shield Fans.Com (http://www.theshieldfans.com) has been "greenlighted" but not by the familiar drug-dealing jerk Amadillo that has graced the second season of the Emmy award-wining cop drama, but by FOX's legal department claiming copyright infringement and all the happy jazz.
The webmaster of the fansite states in the forums that FX Networks parent company - FOX - has contacted her through e-mails and even via home and cellphone (how they got the respective phone numbers is beyond me) threatening legal action if she doesn't comply. Some of FOX's demands include removing certain areas of the fansite and even the domain itself!!
Interestingly enough, the webmaster of TheShieldFans.Com states that FX - the affiliated network that airs "The Shield" - has always been cordial with her, never gave her a problem in the near 2 years existance of TheSheildFan.Com, and that FX Networks's own website even provides a link to the fansite out of kindness.
What's your opinion - Does networks/companies go too far?
