VGA EVGA N 7800GTX 256-P2-N527-AX R

That is the specs of my card, what card can I use in SLI mode with that card that won't slow that card down?

The next question is would that be the best investment or would a newer card give better performance than two of mine in SLI?

Thanks

As it would provide more bang for your buck considering the 7800GTX have not gone down in price much, you maybe able to pick up one off ebay cheap. I gone from a 7800GTX SLi to a 8800GTX and it was so much better, it's a hell of a lot better with games that don't support SLI too.

In a way they have a valid point. The 7800GTX is no longer manufactured therefore it will be tough to find and most likely a little expensive. But should you find another you can any brand 7800GTX in SLI with yours. Keep in mind Nvidia stated you can not mix the 256mb and the 512mb versions of the 7800GTX in SLI http://www.slizone.com/object/slizone_ask_mmm013.html Hope this helps.

Thats right you can't mix and match 512MB and 256MB 7800GTZ cards due to the diffrent ID code. You can only do with with the 7950 and 6600 cards as they use the same ID code however the 512MB cards will have half their memory disabled.
