Anyways, looks like they got a ways to go till they reach the quality of the Announcement trailer. They have another year left so I wouldnt worry just yet.

They might aswell cal it Halo 2.1. It looks like **** or basically Halo 2.0. Animation, guns, textures. Everything looks the same.

Of course you played Halo 2 to know that.

Well yeah. I have a XBox with like 50 games, Halo 2 being one. Didnt say Halo 2 looked like crap on the XBox but the fact thats Halo 3 there showing off and looks no better than a XBox game makes it look like **** to me.

Well if you played Halo 2, I have no clue wtf is wrong with your eyes then. The Halo 3 footage is at the end, by the way. It doesn't look amazing like Gow, but it looks ten times better than Halo 2.

Just watched the trailer last night. It was quite interesting.
The start of it showed wireframe models, and not very detailed ones at that.
Then flat shaded models, all shaded in gray.
Then a bit of Halo2 gameplay.
Then right at the end it started looking like their current development (they were talking about the headwear). It was still quite unfinished, but a number of the new textures/designs looked really nice. The lighting didn't look quite done and the animations needed to be tweaked (they were jerky).

Othewise the first trailer (with the shield thing) was rendered CGI (from the helmet onwards) and not gameplay footage.
