Wondered what 'great' games people managed to pick up at Budget prices ( so i can keep an eye out for them :D ).
Whilst looking for some learning games for my daughter, i saw MAFIA..
Managed to pick it up with 2 x Scooby-Doo games for 10 notes.... Bargain !!!!
I remember playing it years ago on my 4200Ti, but loaned it to someone who then lost it.
Playing it again on my 6800GT with everything maxed is great. Okay the graphics are not up to much these days, but the gameplay is excellent....
Wish there was a MAFIA 2 in the pipeline....:(

I've seen CLive Barkers Undying in an EA "classic games" box on the bargain shelf before. That one is pretty sweet.

I bought the last copy of Mafia from J&R world last year when I saw it for only 7 bucks. Amazing game, still my fav. of all time.

I dunno about in the US. But Ubisoft re-released a heap of games for $9.95AUD. Far Cry, Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory, Prince of Persia: The 2 Thrones to name a few.

Yah, make sure your updated to the latest patch on that game at egosoft.com!

There's a decent mod community for it too.

I just saw a Go Gamer store in the mall. Is that the same business as GoGamer online? They looked like a toy store from the outside so I didn't go in. Just wondering if they're related.

I've never seen any reference to a B&M store, nor have I noticed a "store locater" on their website. Doesn't mean they aren't one and the same. Just makes it doubtful.

I occasionally find good games at Big Lots or Ollies for 5 dollars or less. Recently I found Evil Genius, Homeworld 2 and Riddick.

The problem I find with the games that are severely marked down is that it seems like many of them are using StarForce. I've been burned a couple times because of this. At least the games were only $10-$20...

Yep, I've seen good games at BigLots for around $5. I saw Max Payne 2 there a few months ago.
