Hello everyone,
I'm looking for reccomendations for a new LCD monitor. You can see my system specs below.
I do a lot of gaming both new and old games.
I'm looking for a 19" or 20" monitor. Would coinsider a widescreen.
If I don't go with a widescreen I'll probaly get a VX-922 unless someone can reccomend something better.

Any feedback is greatly appreciated.

Thanks, and Happy Holidays to everyone!

It would help if you mentioned the budget you're on.With the setup you've got I'd recomend nothing less than a 24" and above monitor.Monitors I'd suggest are the Dell 2407,the Dell 3007 and the HP L3065. (xmassign)

I've got a Samsung SyncMaster 204b 20.1" UXGA monitor I'll be looking to get rid of in a few days when my 3007WFP arrives. It's an amazing monitor...enormous, fantastic color and PQ.

The Dell 2407 can be had for a little over $500 when Dell runs their specials and it appears you have the hardware to make use of it 1920x1200 aspect ratio. As Fotis mentioned you should spring for a 24" monitor at least - it doesn't take up much more space than a 20" and you would be wasting your system's capabilities on anything smaller than 24" IMHO.

get a 24" or a 30" monitor. prices for 24"s start at $640 http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.asp?Submit=ENE&N=2010190020+1309821328+1301919996&Subcategory=20&description=&Ntk=&srchInDesc=

If you are on a budget I have found my CMV 221D great. It's a 22" Widescreen and is dirt cheap. The panel isn't pro quality, but it's great for games and is the same panels found in the Viewsonics and the new low end Dells. Only issue I have had is the stand is pretty crap, I've replaced mine with an after market one though. (cheers)

If you are wanting to go with a wide screen ,I would get a 22" since you can get them so much cheaper then a 24" ,you don't get the high resolution as you do in a 24"but the 22" is still pretty big ,Samsung ,and Viewsonic makes good 22" monitors and the price is not to bad .I wish I could find a Dell 24" fo $500 all the ones I look at are a lot higher then that.
