You might check out the Asus P5N32-E SLI ,it's a 680i based board and it doesn't have the SATA issue that the reference Nvidia 680i boards have/had.

yeah, I thought I had the problems, but with a simple Bios update, it fixed it all, at least EVGA keeps up to satisfy its customers (cheers)

All of the problems that previously existed on the boards have been fixed wit the New P23 bios, there should be nothing to fear. Really.(xmastong)

you can choose asus' 650 board , its just as fast as the others , does not have as many features , but sells about 1/3 of the striker

The Evga 680i SLI is really a good board ,yes it had a few problems when it first came out ,but all new things when they first come out have some problems until all the kinks are worked out and evga was very quick to fix everthing with bios updates and right now it works fine ,but if you want a cheaper board that is good, the ASUS 650i SLI board ,it is just $140 ,it does not have some of the things the 680i has but it has all the one that are needed ,it overclocks pretty good but the memory doe'snt overclock as good as the 680iSLI board does.
