Hello again all you kool peeps!

For a while now (couple of months) my rig will restart on it's own out of the blue, And from some reaserch i found that it might be the Power Supply but i'm not sure? since i'm running 4 fans a CCL,
1 HD, 2 cd roms, 1 floppy, GF 4 4200, athlon xp 1700 no OC'ng, modem, MB is a MSI KT3 on a 350w PS.

And last night again, out of the blue it restarted but this time when the system booted up some hardware was not detected
and i got that NEW HARDWARE detected window the Clock was all messed up and a lot of the settings in BIOS are not what they used to be and the CPU now registers as a 1.1 GHZ as opposed to 1.4 GHZ. What caused this, is my Mobo dying? or could it be my under powered PS? or....Gulp.....Both!?.

Any and all help is apreciated very much

Thanx
MaximumDreads.

How long have you had your motherboard? Part of the problem could be that the CMOS battery is dying/dead (which might account for the changed BIOS settings). It might be worth a try (and a cheap solution) to replace that. Your power supply should be OK if it's a good brand, but if it's an off-brand you might want to replace it.
