I went to an "as seen on TV" store and heard Bose TriPort Headphones for the first time and they sound absolutely AMAZING and are VERY comfortable. I'm hooked, I need a pair for my ipod. Right now I have some high quality inner ear headphones. They sound great, but bug the heck out of me.

I want a pair of HIGH QUALITY headphones similar to the quality of Bose headphones. I don't want inner ear headphones. I don't care if they sound like god and are comfortable to you, I hate them. I regret spending $150 on the inner ear headphones I have now. I am willing to spend around $150 on a pair of headphones. I want something that not only sounds good, but is comfortable as well. So far I have yet to see a pair of headphones that beat Bose in comfort. Should I go with the Bose Triport Headphones or is there something better out there?

I have no headphones suggestion for you, but man, your "like Bose" misplaced modifier REALLY effs up the subject sentence structure. :p

HD595's. I have both the 555's and the 595's and they are amazing.

I was half asleep when I made the post. :D

Anyway, are the sennheiser headphones comfortable? Better than Bose? To be honest, comfort is my main priority and sound second.

heh just to let you know, most audiophiles dont like bose and theyll tell you its crap (not all of them).

my brother has some expensive audio-technica headphones that he spent a lot of time researching and paid a pretty penny for. he loves em. he also has a site that lists a bunch of reviews and different types of headphones. ill ask him to drop by this thread... :)

The HD 595's are comfortable so I would imagine the 555 and 580's would be. For the price the 555's are a bargain.

I had a feeling Bose wasn't that good. Bose advertises a HELL of a alot. Companies that usually advertise alot have to because their product doesn't perform as good as those that don't have to. So how does the Bose compare to these Senhiesser headphones? Which one is the best bang for the buck.

Sennheiser FTW--outstanding quality and extremely comfortable. Anything from their HD 5xx series will be ideal.

www.headfi.org, your place for all your audiophile needs

btw, like my brother said, i wouldn't mention bose as being high quality products, it's just flame bait waiting to happen(snowman)

and yes, if you think spending 1000 or more on a monitor is crazy, what these ppl spend on audio equipment is just obsurd

My new Sennheiser HD212Pro headphones are freaking sweet. They were only $35 (came with a free cheapo watch too :p) and they really put out some amazing sound. Definitely worth the money.
