Perhaps I will use this when I build my new rig eventually.:D The Eliminator certainly is longer than the Freezone.

I'm not sure what the new features are but the cooler was just recently added to their site.:D

Fter doing some more research I guess this cooler will be more agressively priced at $199. Maybe it's not as powerful as the Freezone. It sure looks bigger.

So is this just a freezone with a smaller peltier or something? Wonder how they cut the price in half. A cpu block/pump/heat exchanger/peltier + some electronics for 200 bucks seems like a really good deal.
Wonder if they could make a cpu/gpu kit with an additional block and y-splitter and some extra tubing.

From what I understand, it is a quieter version and is much smaller. Same length, however.

I seen it about a week ago on their website. I was gonna do some research, but I got busy with life.

The 'Easy Install" video with the chick,is stupid, she sticks her finger right on the heat spreader with no mention before hand,of getting rid,or taking extra precautions for static electricity !!! No mention of using a anti static strap,nada... wtf !?!!! Great price though, and I imagine it could be mounted in under 20 or so minutes, given that the mobo does not have to be removed at all to get it on properly.

Edit: My wife thinks the product is clearly aimed at young men, given the 'Istall video" :D She says she wants a half naked man with big muscles doing the vid instead....

haha tikiman i think i was one of em. if that PSU had 4 PCI e cables it would be running my rig THIS MINUTE, guaran-damn-teed! lol
But i cant really afford anythign else for my rig for another couple weeks. Hopefully ill get everything up and running by the time the rig competition ends.

as for that eliminator cooler, I would rather prefer full water cooling. (that silver panel thing just blocks the majority of the CPU area)

Heres a review (http://www.3dgameman.com/content/view/6163/103/) of the eliminator, he also did a review of the freezone and the eliminator beat the freezone by 6c degrees.

I was going to ask about the noise, as something like this is exactly what I want. Is it pretty quiet? I've heard with the TEC kicking off and on they can be very distracting.

He didn't compare them head to head.

Also, the Freezone has 6 pelts, the Eliminator has 3. At least that's the information i found on them.

No he didnt compare them, but if you watch the freezone review he gets 43c degrees under load. With the eliminator he gets 37c degrees(at the high setting though), the specs of the system are the same.
Is the freezone adjustable by any chance?

I myself am a true believer in all CoolIt products. To not have worry about extra cabling is very sweet. My next build will most likely include this new cooler.:D

The freezone is adjustable. There is a potentiometer on the circuit board that you can turn to control the temp.

I'm looking forward to see when they are truely compared head to head which is better. I'm just assuming though that since the freezone has twice as many pelts that it is better but louder. Coolit makes no mention on their site of which one is better.

Sounds like I will get a Freezone again for my next rig. Or maybe the Zalman Reserator 2.:D
