simple question. Do they make a 8800 series video card that only takes up a single slot? I already know about the watercooled 8800 from BFG, but I was hoping to snag something less expensive, as I plan on useing a different water-block anyway.

There aren't any available. If you want single-slot, you must go water. If I were you, I'd just get an eVGA GTX (since I've heard it keeps the warranty) and watercool it w/ this:

EK makes a nice block for big bore systems, but I'm going small bore for several reasons. For small bore, aquacomputer is as good as it gets. I'm probably going to be useing this one:

aqua computer makes some real nice stuff that's for sure. Expensive and a PITA to get ahold of, but German engineering isn't cheap. I'm actually working on a case mod (will post pics soon) with some aquacomputer great modded right into a LianLi V1000.

Nice! Can't wait to see it.

Nice block. I'd have to say that beats Eddy's in looks, at least. The inside of Eddy's looked real nice, though--much better than the Dangerden.

AC makes great stuff, very refined. I like my Aquaero a lot, even though I had to go all the way to Scotland to get it.

I got my stuff from www.sharkacomputers.com - They are overall nice guys, but they screwed up my order a couple of times, but worked with me to fix it. Unfourtantly they have a monopoly on AC gear so they are all I've got.

I think Eddy's block would perform better in a big bore (1/2") system, but the AC block would do better in a small bore (6mm~1/4") system due to it's flow patterns. Regardless they are both better than that DangerDen crap like you said. The thing looks like it got its insides machined with a dremel..

Yeah, sharka was out of the Aquaero when I ordered mine. They were my first stop.

If I'd seen Eddy's block beforehand and known about eVGA not voiding the warranty by removing the HSF, I might've gone w/ that combo instead of what I've got. But mine cools just fine like it is.. 51C load w/ an OC of 650/2100.

Yeah I am thinking of going with the DangerDen waterblock as it seriously reduces temps. I know a guy here locally that has one and his load temps are around 45C when running at 695/1100. Pretty insane and they are relatively cheap ($150).
