Can someone suggest some very very heavy metal.....the heaviest death metal one could imagine....im in a bad mood. Need something to brood to:mad:
Not heavy metal, but good for brooding (and raging, too): "Mars, the Bringer of War" from Gustav Holst's "The Planets". Cheer up, I thought you had a four-day weekend on the books! :)
Cheers,

A portion of this review made me laugh...

In the late '80s, Testament was one of the pioneers of California's Bay area thrash metal scene, but over the years the band mellowed a bit, and its two early-'90s records for Atlantic were well-crafted, but less than bombastic. Apparently, Testament aimed to make amends with Demonic , a furious album that blends the band's trademark hooks with ferocious death metal intensity. The only weak link is vocalist Chuck Billy, who has seemed to have traded his melodic voice to the devil in exchange for a genuine "grindcore" growl. --Jon Wiederhorn
Wiederhorn is right - Chuck Billy does bark and growl like Linda Blair from "The Excorcist" on this CD from beginning to end. But he's wrong by calling it "weak". Weak?!?!? Oh, heaven's no!! Billy is mad. Billy is livid. Billy is spewing foam. This is an outstanding Billy, not a weak Billy! :headbang:

SoaD Toxicity and Steal This Album are both pretty good, but the self-titled one is kinda lackluster...

Meh... gonna have to find it again first :p
Still trying to figure out if I like Tool or not... only listened to Aenema halfway through so far, and right now, I have to say it's a wannabe rock version of NIN's Downward Spiral at best... but we'll have to see.

Once somebody recommended this song for sleeping:
·Exmortem - Labyrinths Of Horror
Amazingly noisy! :D But very hard to find.
Very very nice death metal (very melodic too):
·In Flames - Episode 666
Another recomended heavy songs (good for relax):
·Blind Guardian - Mr Sandman ;)
·White Zombie - Electric Head Partt. 1 (The Agony) (Yeah!!)
·Judas Priest - Painkiller
·Metallica - Enter Sandman
·Metallica - Battery
·Metallica - Fight Fire With Fire
·Mudvayne - Death Blooms (I think Serath recommended me this one)
·Immortal - Damned In Black
A band I found recently, but I don't know: Poison The Well. Almost any song is quite.... violent. :D For example:
·Poison The Well - Nerdy
A song nicer (and heavier) than the original (Scorpions'):
·Sonata Arctica - Still Loving You
And why not?
·Carmina Burana - Oh Fortuna :D
Well, there you have quite a lot.... I hope you make good use of them!

I'm not sure how hard you are looking for, but , I'd suggest Fear Factory. Anything, but the album REMANUFACTURE. Its good, but its a bit more upbeat, I guess. I dunno... try em out.
Tool is also a favorite for me at any time, or dealing with any type of feelings. ( Damn the hate , for it drives me insane. )
Thats all I can think of really ... I've been trying to listen to more upbeat music in order not to be so anti-social. Its not working
vampireuk , whats troubling you ... maybe we can help?

The self titled is real SOAD, the kind that isn't designed to sell millions of copies.
Anyway, that's not really metal metal. If you want some of that listen to In Flames, Dark Tranquility, Opeth, Children of Bodom, etc etc.

Great band. Hardcore rules. Get their album Tear From The Red, it's great stuff. Also, more hardcore bands you might want to try for your anger fix would be...
Norma Jean - Bless The Martyr and Kiss The Child
Remembering Never - She Looks So Good in Red
Atreryu - Suicide Notes & Butterfly Kisses
Hopesfall - The Satellite Years
Great stuff to rock out to.

Check out Audio Galaxy for a band called Drecksau. They're heavier than the rest of this easy listening **** everyone else has posted. They're German too, so as long as all you're interested is, is blaringly loud music they own all. If lyrics matter, learn German!
