PNY was cheaper. I looked at evga and seen that they had the same specs, but the PNY was less.

Congratutions on your new card, you should enjoy it and they overclock good too,but all 8800GTS seem to overclock good. The only reason I would have bought a EVGA is for there support.and support forums, plus the step-up program.

I got a PNY 6800 in my system now. I have not had not one problem with it.
It's an 8800 GTS...Congratz! I bet for the purpose you bought it for it will work just fine and probably better than you expected.
A lot of people purchase hardware based on brand, warranty, etc and that is OK but a lot will purchase with price in mind like you have done. Enjoy your new card!!!
If you have a horror story or you have amazing success, or something in between, I am sure you will share your experience either way. :D

Exactly. I'm not expecting a nightmare, but if I have any issues, I'll get another one.
Hopefully you never have to deal with the 'issues' I dealt with :) Other then the fans dying on the cards, they were both great. The insanity I went through, started when the RMA process went seriously haywire.Thankfully I had my CC backing me,so eventually I had a successful charge back done.

being that all 8800 cards are references. the only differences between brands *should* be only the warranty, bundle and packaging.. and price of course.
