Well I know just about all the names in HSFans, but I'd like to hear the results of what others are using to make a choice for my next HSF.

Right now I'm using a Thermaltake CL-P0200 Silent 939.

I've been wondering seeing how people are getting good overclocks on the Opty 165 with good stepping that doesn't seem to need much voltage if my TT HSF will be just fine, or I should consider another.

Anyhow do tell what you use.

I have an Opty 165 with a CNPS9500. The stepping and week are CCBBE 0617 FPMW, which is supposed to be the best, but I only managed to get mine to 2.75GHz on 1.5v. Other people can do around 2.8 on stock volts with this stepping.

As for a cooler, that Tt you have looks pretty weak, not really any better than the stock Opty HSF. Go with something like a Tuniq Tower 120 if you can find it or a Zalman CNPS9700.

Lap your 9500. the base is concave... Atleast mine was.

I'm scared of the weight of that damm Tuniq I'm thinking of possibly getting a Zalman CNPS9500.

Also that Zalman CNPS9700 seems to heavy too, the CNPS9500 is lighter.

Actually since I've been a fan of TT stuff for sometime now, I'm going to go with this TMG A1 and it clips on, easy to install like a stock HSF. :D
