View Full Version : Clock frequency issues?

I have a 6800GT and the 93.71 drivers.

Since I've formatted, and got those new drivers, the memory clock frequency on my nvidia control panel says 2.00 by default. Wtf? It should be 1.00 as far as I remember. I think we all know the 6800GT wouldn't even work with 2.00, so why does it say this? I put the gpu from 350 to 400mhz as per my usual overclock and everything seems to work ,except I looked in the cpanel today and the overclock panel said 0 for both gpu and memory clock freqs? What the hell?

I've since switched to the 97.28 drivers, and the memory clock freq still says 2.00. I have used driver cleaner as well.

Any ideas??

They broke CoolBits for all cards G70 and lower on all drivers 93.xx and higher.

So what should I use?

Use any driver prior to 93.xx (92.91 at nzone is the last working driver) or use the latest versions of Rivatuner or ATItool if you insist on using 93.xx+.

I've started using the 97.44 XtremeG drivers and the clocks work again. I use Rivatuner to do the actual overclocking, but they do show-up correctly in the control panel.

Assuming you are using WinXP 32bit, here's the link...
