hey guys, ok lets say i have two partitions C: & D: now if i wanna reinstall the OS in the C: from scratch and once its done would the newly install windows recognize my old D: with all its files in there? or i'm gonna have to reformat that partition in order for the new windows to recognize? Please Advise.. Thanx :D

It should see D. You will either have to back up the registry or reinstall any apps on D though.

Yup, should work fine. As long as it's just files on D:, then you won't have any problems. Oh, and it might be a good idea to disconnect your D: drive while reinstalling windows. That way you won't accidentally format/delete stuff by accident when messing with the windows install.
