I would have to agree on that

edit:
There is a better chance to get a better picture from a straight digital connection, and this solves any worry about copy protection on future HD-DVD's......

this is something you would expect from nintendo... DS, DS lite, DS ultra powered with 100% better screen, DS super ultra reactor that makes the games 2x better.... :bleh:

I was wondering when this would surface again.

Wonder how they will price this one. I'm guessing, price drop on the current models and this will be $399.99.

This is great news for those of us who can afford a second xbox360! :) Hdmi + cooler running hardware + 120Gb HD = FTFW! (nana2)

As long as 1080p works over the VGA connection, my launch unit will continue to be more than sufficient.

I agree. You know if this is really true and a $399.99 edition could come with the 120GB this would really put the hurt on the PS3 IMO.

I would have to find something to do with my old one... but this is tempting

also... how would you transfer profiles from the 20GB to the 120GB?

well you cant any offical way... you need to buy some 3rd party stuff to be able to copy profiles to your computer and then back yo your new 120gb xbox drive

If this does come out, I'm picking one up for sure. It'll piss my roommate off since I said I would buy his 360, but oh well. :) :p

Question is...Will it or will it not have a built HD-DVD drive?

:tiki: If it did come with HD DVD integrated in the unit itself it would be an all out HD DVD vs Blu-Ray war like we have not seen yet. Although the fight has begun this would greatly intensify it IMO!

Doubt it as it would cannibalize sales of the add-on. The only thing I would forsee is some kind of super special edition (like the Halo Xbox1) that would have it built in.

I thought more features was a bad thing?

True but we aren't sure when this model will be released. Say it was around the same price as the 600 dollar PS3 then it could work. They'd just need to slow down the manufacturing of the add-on and slowly make it obsolete.

They've had this rumor for quite a while. I don't think they will integrate a seperate HDMI connector on the back of the second 360 version, it just doesn't make sense. If a HDMI adaptor cable is not possible with the current 360 they would just make the next ones proprietary adaptor compatible. Selling you a cable that converts that weird connection to whatever you want is a big source of income, putting a plain old HDMI connector looks like the work of modders rather than what would really happen.

The 120GB hard drive on the other hand I can actually see happening.

I disagree. People don't seem to be extremely willing to shell out $600 for the PS3, and I think they would react the same way to a $600 360. It is the same price for the 360 Premium + the add-on, but the add-on is just that--completely optional.

No HD-DVD in the box with this thing? Hmm...

I wonder if this thing will send a TrueHD singal via HDMI from HD-DVDs.

Yeah, that's disappointing (to me at least). If they did that I'd probably sell my current X360 and try to get this one. If this one runs cooler, hopefully it won't be nearly as noisy and if it had HD-DVD integrated, that would be perfect (since I'm running short on space). It would also be nice if they could get rid of the power brick.

That would mean that this model would be appealing to the majority of people which it probably isn't. They'd still have the 400 and 300 dollar option so the HD-DVD would still be optional. Although I doubt the the HD-DVD drive will really be in this I was just throwing it out there.
