After a torrent of bitching from users like me, they have at least released a beta. This is no different than the 97.46 set that was leaked a month ago, but it's still something. Many people don't use leaked drivers, so this will be their first Vista driver.

Maybe my threat to go ATI on my next upgrade worked. :p :captnkill:

Bro you hit the nail on the head, there is no difference
from the leaked driver and for sure I am waiting for the RD600 and or any other card ATI releases in the DX10 catagory before I buy another Nvidia product....

Have to second that Marcus. NVIDIA has completely dropped the BALL here.

I will think twice before buyig another Nvidia Product.

I have an older ATI XT850 Platimum in my Desktop and it has been running fine with the ATI drivers since RC2.

NVIDIA Wake and CLUE in, your Market share isn't that Huge. And you have upset alot of people. Either come clean ans say you have a problem
with your card or produce something worthwhile.

WAY TO GO NVIDIA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Feel better now thanks.

I don't know which is worse:
1. People who claim Vista isn't out yet, when millions of people are using it
2. Video card makers that still can't get their cards working on Vista when they had at least one year of beta time with the new driver model.

Take your pick. I say shoot them both. :) :)

These work as well as the last ones for me. I really can't tell the difference.

Only MSDN subscribers have the 6000 build or are suppose to. Maybe you should help get drivers working on the current build with the 8800 series card. I am not worried about since it really isn't available to the general public period.

I hate to say it but Vista Build 6000 is available, Technet subscribers have it and the Business edition is released to manufacturers. So yes Nvidia has really done nothing for the Vista users. As a Vista Beta tester, I know that ATI has had decent drivers out for a long time. (newest ones released just a short while ago) As for Nvidia no way thier drivers have been terrible since the beginning.

So I guess no SLI in these drivers then? That is the suck :( oh well, I'm patient. I'll be angry only if there are no SLI drivers by the end of January. That's when the gloves come off.

Sigh...RTM (release to manufacturer) was around November 10th (and that includes ALL versions). MSDN got it around November 20th or so. TechBeta users got it around the 22nd or so. Businesses were able to BUY it on November 30th. OEM's apparently can sell it starting the 8th or 9th. Regular consumers can buy it on January 30th. So don't tell me "oh Vista isn't out yet". STFU, it's been retail for businesses (including game developers) for over a month now.
