View Full Version : how fast is the 8800 fan designed to go?

the fan on my 880gts is only running at about 1400 rpm stock,with riva tune i can make it go above 2700rpm,is that faster than it was designed to go.it is curius that the fan does not increase from stock speed under load by itself...

The 8800 fan will speed up automatically when the temp is about 88C-89C. If your doesn't then your 8800 never been that hot. I've been up to 90C with my 8800 and the fan runs close to 100% at that temp.

Same here my fan does not increase that at all either. you don't really want
the fan at full speed anyway it's nosy as hell. Well is is if you have a nice quite system to start with.

ty v much,mine has run at 82C and not sped up,i use riva tuner t keep it at 70%=75C+1750rpm
