Obviously Vanguard is out of the picture. Same with Lord of the Rings. Both are horrible games.
What games are out there? Can you tell me a bit about them and why they will be good? I know Conan and Warhammer are set to release sometime in the future(don't know when), but I don't really know anything about them.

Huxley. MMOFPS is the way forward. Propor, Thought out and endless non-caring MMORPG's will die with WoW.
There will never be an EQ2 (Real, Proper.. just like EQ..) The 'Good ole days', back when Ultima Online, Anarchy, Everquest were still kind of new. Ever since then players have been babied through the game and its ruined it, No right-minded money making developer will make a tough 'cult' MMORPG.
I say it will die with WoW becuase thats where everyone ended up. Its not a good old tough MMO, however it was the first babier. Anything after it is 'just copying WoW'.

I hope Huxley turns out good as I've been lookin forward to it.
BC will probably be purchased and shelved a while.
Got 2 copies of Vanguard preordered and lookin forward to playing it with the lady for quite a while.
Only other thing that's caught my eye is Conan...and maybe that super secret Battlestar Galactica MMO they are workin on for 360.

not the same old in a different world it feels like your are playing the same mmorpg all over again :thumbdwn:
vanguard sux its the same old eq2 crap in a new box thats all...
but huxley seems different wonder how it will turn out

Less fun than WoW
STUPIDLY limited character creation
Bad animations
Aweful art
Flat out boring to play
And to Ninjaman
I have no problem with WoW. Its just not my type of game. Just because you enjoy those type games and I don't does not mean I am a "LAWL elitest ZOMG LAWL". It just simply means I don't like WoW. Its too easy and its player base is too young for me. Why is that so hard for you to understand?

I'll be playing Vanguard on release, but it depends on what they do in the first few months of live if I stick with it or not...
I'm looking forward to STO, SGO & AOC (But STO and SGO are pretty far off still... :( )

I will join you, don't know if If I should get the CE version or not. Game Im waiting for now since Vanguards is a let down is Age of Conan... Looks brutal, gonna have to wait for beta to see if I can keep the hype or not.
I'm somewhat curious about Aion (http://www.plaync.com/us/games/aion/). The videos on the site look pretty nice. Other than that, I've not seen much about it.

Bingo! I played both BETAs as did Tygr and they both blew. What I didn't like about LotRO is it was instanced like DnDO. I hate that type of MMO. Just let me roam the world. At least you could roam around in Vanguard. So between the two Vanguard was better but still a bad game.
Warhammer on the other hand looks to be right up my ally. I am most definately going to be a frezy orc or what ever they call that bad arss class. I do not want to play the BETA for this game because I want the final version to not be spoiled by a work in progress.
Conan looks to be good also but expect a more bland looking environment due to the settings know for Conan comics. Still it looks fun but a bit more dark in atmosphere.
Other than those two games, you will have just as much luck finding a good MMO from the Korean MMO spammers who plague this forum. LOL

BioWare is making an MMO, so I hear. I'm interested in anything BioWare.
Outside of that, it looks like the only thing decent on the horizon is Warhammer. Looks like an entirely PvP based WoW. Right up my alley.

Sony has no control over Vanguards release date, this has been stated since the beginning when Sigil teamed up with SOE. They are only providing hosting, Tech Support and Billing Systems aswell as releasing the game on shelves. Sigil has all creative control as well as control on when the game releases... the reason its releasing so dam early is because Sigil ran out of Funds to keep developing it in a closed enviroment.

Well mindless people can continue to play WOW, I on the other hand love Vangaurd and plan to continue playing it well after beta. I like it, reminds me of WOW and Everquest 1. I hate EQ1, loved WOW to a point until I got to the end game.
Vangaurd will not fail, I can assure you that. It might have it's problems but what MMO doesn't, WOW certainly did. Already cancelled my WOW: BC pre-order and paid in full my Vangaurd CE. Can't wait for the beta to end, right now I don't want to get to far in level before the game launches.
I think people are just whinning to much about Vangaurd because they were hoping for an MMO of old, well if you want that then go play and MMO of old. I think Vangaurds hit a good mix here and it looks really good. Also, I have no problems with people not enjoying the game but stop with all the bashing. There are worse games out there that certainly deserve this kind of abuse.

I really am finding that hard to beleive.. Brad isn't a stupid guy, He knows not to release January.. but he is, why? Sony's a money grabbing *beep*
