Horizontal span on Vista

Anyone know if its possible to get horizontal span mode working on vista?
I tryed using the 81.97XP drivers as well as the latest vista drivers :|

Are you talkingin games or just an extended desktop? Both the newest drivers and Vista itself support the extended desktop.

Horizontal span <> dual view
Dual view is 2 desktops at 1024*768
Horizontal span would be one desktop at 2048*768

so games etc would stretch across both monitors while keeping correct aspect ratios.

the latest drivers and vista support dualview but its no use to me.

has anyone had any luck figuring this out? I found a few things about using rundll32 nvcpl.dll to change the mode manually and it did not work.
