my mx1000 is breaking down slowly. Left click sometimes doesn't click, that can get quite annoying.

any recommendations? get another MX1000?

must be wireless

Another MX1000 isn't a bad idea, either that or a G7. Not sure about the new revo because I haven't really heard much about it. I use my MX1000 at work all the time, and it works great. FYI, don't get the MX5000 combo for the MX1000 mouse that is BT. When trying to use the KB and mosue at the same time, it has cause the mouse to act slow many times. It works great for a little web browsing, or typing up some documents, but it seems to lag when trying to play a game where your hitting many keyboard keys and moving the mouse at the same time.

Either pick up another MX1000 or get a G7. I have a G7 and it's great. Don't get a MX Revolution though. They are only 800DPI and not so good for gaming (from what I've heard, I have no hands on experience myself).

They need to make a gaming version of the MX Revolution, like the G9 or something

yes i know about mx5000, i had it, bought it and returned it next day, mx5000 was the worst kb and mouse combo i ever had.

second worse would have to be mx3200

ok, i will check out G7, any more comments?

I kinda like the look of the MX Revolution, have had my MX1000 since the day it came out quite happy with it no problems but it's battery life is very short now must of had it atleast 2 years now. Used to charge once a month now it every week or sometimes even twice a week.

The Mx1000 is only 800dpi ,the same as the MX Revolution,I own both of them as well as other and the 2000dpi is just so senitive ,I would end up turning it down to 800dpi to play my games. So I would just get another Mx1000,the battery life is longer on the Revolution, but IMO it is no better, and I had two Mx1000 that went bad because of the button,my would double click when I just single clicked it.

If you go for G7, go the G7 SE or gamer edition I think its called. It is black and has textured sides.

Hated it because of feel? or because of performance? It definately feels the exact same as the MX700 (although it's WAY lighter due to the lithium battery) but the performance isn't even close to being the same. The G7 rocks!

RMA it,as Logitech is very good about warranty returns. If its still under warranty, which it should be as thats a recent model. And Logi usually
offers 3 to 5 year warranties on all mice.

Yeah, I gotta agree...anything over 800dpi is just too insane for me.

I've had my MX1000 for about just over 2 years and I love it, but the battery is starting to go. After 30 minutes of use, it's down to 2/3 of charge and after maybe 5-6 hours, it's down to 1/3. :(

The G7 is great once your hand molds to it's design which takes a few months.

This is why I hate devices that use fixed rechargeable batteries.

I appreciate it, but it's getting pretty grimy and all around overused, so I'll probably end up buying a new mouse of some sort in the near future. But thanks. :)

Yeah, but what happens when your AAs die at 1am, you have no more in your house and there are no 24-hour pharmacies, grocery stores or gas stations around you...or at least ones that are safe enough to go to that late because you live on the edge of teh ghetto? :o :(

I have a stockpile of batteries so that never happens...ever. :p

I think they will.

I have a G7 and the thing that bothers me is that it does not have a forward button. Also, I have to take the battery out of it at night so it won't lose it's power.

i was just wondering does the G7 charger shut down when battery is fully charge? or does it keep on charing thus killing the battery?

i think i will keep G7, i just wish it would have 2-3 more butons, and to be slightly bigger

I assign the left and right wheel tilt to forward/back with UberOptions (google it).

Most likely you are using a mouse pad that keeps the laser lit up all the time - some mouse pads cause the G7 to do that.
