It's midnight here in NZ, time to release this most sought after driver.
This is the real McCoy.

[Version]
Signature = "$Windows NT$"
Provider = %NVIDIA%
ClassGUID = {4D36E968-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}
Class = Display
CatalogFile = NV_DISP.CAT
DriverVer = 12/14/2006, 7.15.11.0030

It only supports 8800 GPU's
Not WHQL
NO SLI !!

But finally Vista support for the 8800.
There is a modded INF supplied for those with non 8800 cards.

Driver and modded INF just follow the link in my sig.

Enjoy :)

[UPDATE 22-1-2007]

We've had a letter from Microsoft asking to remove the links from our website.
I have done this, to keep relations with Microsoft intact, not that there ever has been a relationship.
But I don't want to rock the boat.

Here is what we received:

To whom it may concern,

It’s been called to our attention that your site has posted proprietary property from Microsoft and NVIDIA for public use and we would appreciate it if you removed it immediately.

The property in question is the ForceWare Vista 100.30 (GeForce 8800) x64 and ForceWare Vista 100.30 (GeForce 8800) x86 drivers.

Please remove the links to these drivers or we will be forced to elevate this situation to Microsoft’s legal department.

Thank you,

George Menzel, Lead Program Manager, Microsoft Corporation
Derek Perez, Director of Public Relations, NVIDIA

The drivers will obviously be available in many other places other than here.
Not sure why MS has taken this stance nearly a week after they were released by us.
The Horse has bolted has had babies who now have also bolted.
Never mind, we meant no harm in releasing these, and I tink the release has done much good especially for the 8800 owners.

Hopefully MS will reverse it's stance, but in the mean time the 2 x 100.30 threads have been removed :(

Wow! Finally....

It'll be a while till I get home to test these babies, I wonder what kind of control panel is there. Did they give the full control panel or just a few simple options?

Thanks Peter, nice news about the classic control panel. I feared they would leave it out in Vista. Are all the usual options there? Is there anything missing?

By the way, thanks a lot mobilenvidia. You became a legend by releasing the most eagerly awaited drivers of this century. :) Even FBI, CIA and NSA couldn't get this driver despite all their efforts. :captnkill:

I can't wait to get home and benchmark the living daylight out of these. Peter, if you dual boot with XP, could you give us a quick comparison by running 3DMark2006 both on XP and Vista? We can finally measure how fast Vista is compared to XP.

No they are still only @ 1, it seems like bug. But performance is AWSOME in Aero.

What is that?

he meant scaling with aspect ratio

so 4:3 or 5:4 image won't get stretched to widescreen, instead of you have black bars on the side.

and thats a good question, let us know if it works or not

currently is broken on G80 and XP drivers
