Howdy, everyone!
I have recently swapped my old GF2 MX400 card for an ATi Radeon 9000. Some days ago I was tinkering with settings and benchies and I discovered by chance that when I have WRITE COMBINING disabled (Desktop properties -> Troubleshooting -> Enable Write Combining -> Unchecked) 2D seems a lot smoother. Also I got a few 3DMarks more, mostly negligible, but it should be the opposite way. Right click on it for a brief explanation.
EDIT: Forgot to mention that I'm using latest catalyst 3.1 drivers. The rest is in my signature.
