If you had no choice other than to buy a branded PC, which brand would you buy? Why?

I was going to say Alienware too, but since you got it first I'll go with Falcon. ;)

yea for me it's a toss up between alienware and falcon.
I like falcon's custom cases. Some of them are pretty sweet.

lame duck what is your problem? If you have nothing to say on the topic do not post.
Back to the topic, I have heard some good things about dell. I would probably plumb with them:)
Edit: OK second pointless spam, your posts for this thread are out of here

Alienware is great, albiet expensive!
Get something like VoodooPC, they're just as good and cheaper, plus there are 100s of lesser-known "white box" companies that have great deals and good support. Just run thru a current ComputerShopper magazine for a long list of some good places...
The one I've seen lately I liked in there was www.ibuypower.com some good nF2 deals with Viewsonic monitors

Dell?! Compaq?!
IMO...I wouldn't touch these guys with a 10 ft poll.
They use proprietary motherboards and pwr supplies.
I have a Dell and you should see the BIOS, there is a total of FOUR options you can change. Companies like Falcon, Voodoo, and Alienware don't use proprietary garbage.

VoodooPC, definitely.
My first 2 pcs were pre built pcs. I was living in the UK, what I did, was to check reviews in pc mags in the UK, the mag I liked the most was PC Advisor.
