Did you have to order this? I've been looking for it locally for a while and no one seems to have it.

Thanks for the info. I guess I'll ask someone at Best Buy about it. It has been showing as in stock there for a while now but I've been through every movie in the HD DVD section and can't find it. Maybe they have it in the wrong place by accident or something.

Well, I had about 2 hours to kill while my truck was being inspected and I searched Best Buy thoroughly. I found Chronicles of Riddick. They had all of them by one of the HD DVD players. I thought that was pretty stupid. They should have at least left a few in the rack where all the other HD DVDs are.

I picked up Smokin' Aces last night from Best Buy. It was like $5 more than what I could've gotten on Amazon, but meh. I can't believe it's a combo for only $30 at Best Buy. All the rest of the combos are like $35 or $40. Maybe this is a sign of things to come...?

No more HD DVDs for us for a while. My son traded in the Xbox 360 and its HD player for a Playstation 3 :(

Well HD DVDs FINALLY started to infiltrate the local stores here. So I nabbed a 360 HD addon and picked up Doom (Hey it was what I wanted most out of the tiny collection).

So I guess my HD DVD collection is as follows:

King Kong (Part of the Bundle)
Doom

That is all. :D

Just picked up Alpha Dog today. Ordered Feast on HD DVD from Amazon. Brings the total HD DVD collection to 15

How is the HD version of Miami Vice? I have the DVD version and this is one movie I'd buy again, the gun fight at the end would sound pretty nice I'm guessing.

I might grab it when I get MI:III and Apollo 13.

I watched Doom last night. I was very impressed. Sound was awesome, so was the picture. Reminds me of the Soldier DVD release, great DD showcase, even if the movie itself kinda dodgey.

MI:III is AMAZING. Some of the best PQ I've ever seen and it was actually a freakin' great movie!

I couldn't get past the first 20 minutes of Miami Vice. It was too weird/loose of a story and jumped around way too much. I guess I should give it another shot, but I'm not in any rush to do so...I guess it doesn't look all that much better than the SD version. Really grainy and dark.

Well I picked up Miami Vice, along with MI:III and Apollo 13. MV does look a better in HD, even the grainy scenes, which ARE meant to be like that to give the movie a Cops feel I guess. I like it anyways. :D
