Nice to see this demo released well before the full game's street date. I really want to try this out, but my system has to be replaced first. :|
That looks and sounds like a good one. Couldn't check at work so I'm just now seeing the pics and reading about the type of gameplay. Edit: Downloading now...

I just finished playing it for about 40 minutes. The best description of it is basically what you would do in GTA or Saints Row when not on a mission (running or driving around causing chaos and killing everything) but with superhero abilities such as running super fast, jumping 30 feet to get up top a building or throwing a car at a group of baddies. It does have missions but the core gameplay seems to be a sand-box type affair where you do what you want and when you want but when near a mission they will alert you to it.
Graphics are decent and have a nice cell shaded look to them. The gameplay is better than I thought but dont think I will pick it up right away but I would eventually like it in my collection because it will be a great time waster. Co-op fans, Saints Row fans and those that just like to run around in GTA for the hell of it I think will like it alot.

Played the demo for about an hour and a half and I gotta say, while I wasn't really excited for this game from the videos - I'm definitely gonna buy it when it comes out. Not to mention that it comes with halo 3 beta. ;)
I ignored what the guy was telling me and just mowed down people with the agency supercar. That was fun. :)

Get yourself a Gold membership, missing out on some quality fun over XBL.
Just can't beat playing with real life people.

Its a good demo i think. i like the thing where if you see a gang drive past you fairly quickly and aim for the tyres and shoot the car turns slightly and flips over....very nice!
The aiming (tyres, head, arms etc) is a nice feature.
Not bad looking either but not great.

Yeah, but they can talk to you :o
The Crackdown demo is great. If you get a kick out of having super human abilities and rampaging through city streets while at the same time beating the crap out of criminals then this game is for you. I played for about an hour and ended up having the criminals AND the cops trying to frag my a$$! :D The REAL fun begins once you power up enough to pick up cars and jump 50 feet in the air. There is nothing better then picking up an SUV and squashing about 10 baddies in one shot! :headexplode: :D

Yep, if you run around on top of the bulidings and pick up all of the agility icons, then you can eventually max out your run and jump to 30 ft. high. Then, I max out my strength by just kicking a bunch of ppl and then you're set for the rest of the demo. GO CREATE CHAOS! :p
This game is fun. I've been playing co-op and have been trying to get to the top of that tallest building. It's hard!

What? It's really easy if you just run around and get the agility orbs.

....that's why I'm buying it (lee63) , plus that it's actually a good game. I always buy the titles that impress me.
Coop is fun even though it's a royal pain in the butt to get your friends to join you. I hope that's fixed in the full release. I'm definitely picking this one up! ;)

The demo was pretty fun, I just hope the power ups laying around the city are far fewer then in the demo, I was jumping around like a mad man after finding so many...

As for joining friends, in the full game it should be as easy as getting an invite. Directly joining friends is disabled in the demo.

Man. The demo was awesome. So glad I upgraded to Gold again after letting it lapse, MS threw in 1000 points to spend.
I can't wait for the full game. Doesn't look to bad either, and I thought the Renderware engine was at the end of it's life :o
I am becoming a crackdown god. I jumping into games and then picking fights with the other guy.
It was good ok but I have a feeling playing the demo is like playing the full game because thats basically it. Most demos just give you a piece that felt like the whole thing. And there is only so much jumping and collecting of those green orbs you can take. I didn't even try to complete the missions.
