GeForce 6100 nForce 405 + performance

I have this on my 2nd computer. I just installed NHL 07 to it and noticed bad performance. :headexplode: The game runs pretty fast but it's "lagging", it isn't "smooth" like it should be.

Is it really that bad? I don't think you need a good card to run NHL 07, NHL 06 was pretty much the same and I could run it well with Radeon 8500. :p

Except for being newer and supporting newer features that the 8500 didn't...

That 6100 onboard video will likely be slower than the 8500.

Try using a smaller resolution.

And how can it be SO BAD? I didn't think it could get worse than Radeon 8500 64 Mb.. :P

Are there any good qualities in this "onboard card"?

It is compliant to DirectX 9.0c I believe.

It is.. but still bad performance.

Reducing resolution from 1024*768 to 800*600 helped a lot but it sucks to play with such low graphics...

Have you changed the Anti-Aliasing settings in the Onboard Graphics Control Panel? Check to see what it's on. It probably needs to be on 2x or App. Control. NHL 07 is actually pretty graphic intense.

Try their suggestion about antialising.

However I think you probably will want to leave it off for better performance.

The 6100 is supposed to be Geforce 6 class dx9.0 graphics. Should be faster than an 8500.
