Sure, the challenge was a waste IMO as well. The Pats were crowding the line at that point, might have picked up the 4 yards, who knows.
Looks like the ESPN and CNNSI editors are both fans of Live. :D

hAHA, Seriously though. The coach messed up.. and they didnt convert on any of those 3 Picks.

There's also that zany time clock ticking down without the ball in Rivers' hands. It's a team game. It's not the refs, not Marty, not any single moronic penalty, etc.

He didnt go for it with 4th and 4 with 3:30 left... Think of it this way...
If the pats got it over on downs they still would have scored. He should have kept his offense on and let LT, TURNER, OR Neal run it. Also, that challenge was a WASTE of a timeout which would have been critical in getting the ball closer for Kaeding.
But he decided to go for it early on with 4th and 11, lol.

No, but they all added up.

Honestly i can name a few people to blame...
Not the whole team. Like LT was not to blame at all, neither was Rivers.
*Sigh* The Patriots (and Tom Brady) are living proof that it's better to be lucky than good. First the tuck rule and then an interception that turns into a first down. And since their next game is against another huge choke artist (much as I may like Manning), they'll probably get another Super Bowl. Of course, the Colts and Saints have surprised everybody all year so maybe I'm wrong. I don't even count the Bears because barring a disastrous game from the Saints they don't have a chance. Grossman having a decent game against a bad secondary doesn't mean all is well in Chicago.

the only thing payton has going for him going up against the pat's is the fact that the last two games the colts beat them.... but then again it's playoff time and nobody handles the pressure better than the man the myth the legend tom brady.

Figures that a spammer would be a Brady fan.
In all honesty I don't have anything against Brady though, it's just that I'm sick of hearing how he's so great in big situations when twice now he's screwed up at a crucial moment and through enormous flukes it works out in his favor. And I just don't like Belichick.:p

Oh well, since my team didn't make it (Pittsburgh), I guess I will be pulling for Nawlins. I did live down and around there for a little over seven years.
I'm pulling for the Colts now, I guess, although it pains me to pull for an AFC team.

But...but...but, he's dating Gisele!
I'm about to pop in anticipation for this weekend.

Don't want to jinx myself by making any bold predictions but it is playoff time and one team is built to play their best football late in the year. I like their chances.

I like their chances.Maybe Manning and Brady will come out of their collective funks and put up some points this game with few/no interceptions. I'm thinking this might come down to either a field goal or a special teams play/return/etc. Cannot wait for this game.

Yeah, I am sure both Brady and Manning will both play better than last week. They are both too good not too. I think it will be a close game too!
I do not know if this is wishful thinking but I have a strong feeling that a certain ex patriot will finally come down to earth and not win the game for him team. Wishful thinking, maybe but in my patriot fantasy word it would sure be sweet. Love the old guy but he is a traitor after all.:thumbdwn:
Yeah, so many storylines, so many ironic ways the game could possibly be won/lost. He's only missed two FGs all season but those were both in Foxboro.
Is that really the view from Pats fans? That he wanted to leave? I thought he wanted to stay in NE. Anyway, this has got to be one of the most anticipated NFL games in a number of years, even more than many of the recent Super Bowls which tend to be letdowns. This year, the Super Bowl should be great regardless of which of the four teams make it.

Here is what many New England fans feel about AV. Yes, the patriots did want to try to sign him for a little less than markek value but this is how the patriots operate. To make a long story short, the colts jumped into negotiations and offered a BIG contract. AV signed this contract without even going back to the patriots with this offer, which most players do when the want to stay with a team. I am sure the Patriots would have matched this offer if AV went back to them. This has never been said by management but it has been infered. NE fans feel hurt and betrayed by a player they loved so much ,who hit so many clutch kicks, but then went to play with I feel is their biggest rival...tragic
Interesting. I guess at the end of the day it is a business. Looks like you have a promising kicker in his place. The RCA Dome can get ridiculously loud and this Sunday will be the loudest game ever. It will be interesting to see how Gostkowski handles the pressure if put on the spot.
Wow, Saints are off to a poor start but at least it's not showing in the score yet.
