For the past few months, I have been chained to a rather large project at work. Fact is, by the time I get home, I don't wanna see a PC.

I had been editing the news, trolling the boards, etc., but the server hack and subsequent meltdown is a solid metaphor for my PC state of mind. The work that Mike has done so far is amazing. It has inspired me to get back into, at least more than just trolling the news publisher...

The nV sabbatical has upped the driving time, so Farbissina is quite happy. Now I have an automobile tweaking bug. The wife is pissed. Stainless steal brakelines, oil cooler, and maybe a suspension upgrade are in the works, trying to budget everything. Any of you work for a BMW dealership? (Gib?) I need a price break on a few odds and ends.

Anyway, more to come. I have some new content that needs to be html'ized so be on the look out...

For now, a pic of my means bywhich to maintain sanity:

It's still lookin nice Brian!
You must take good care of her!
Still using Zaino bros?
The best way to do some research on what you want for your car is Google searches, and some forums to ask dudes what worked, and what didn't...

God that is a beautiful car! Seems that I remember the thread about this quite a while ago, methinks it ended in a debate about good car waxes.

Still all over the Zaino. That shot was taken afer three coats of Z5 using ZFX. It is really unbelievable how good the Zaino Bros stuff is...

I am pretty active in a few message boards for the Coupe. I am thinking of going with an H&R/Bilstein Sport combo from Turner. But, I want to attend one of the Porsche driving events before I upgrade. Better to drive what you have to the limit before you go upgrading. With that in mind, it looks like I will focus on reliability upgrades to kill any brake fade and improve the cooling system to keep from boiling the oh-so-pricey synthetic dinosaur juice.

I have heard the dealer mark-up is gonna be nuts on those. Looking forward to putting over-zealous 350Z drivers in their place.*

Already have the Remus set up.

So far, I have an ECIS cold-air intake, Conforti software, and the Remus exhaust. I also have a few tranny/clutch tweaks. I added a clutch stop, tranny mount reinforcements (removable) and an illuminated brushed chrome shift knob (shortens throw). As it stands, the new M3 with 333hp can not get away from me, same for the M5.

I'll attach a pic of the interior for good measure...

Brian, that is one saweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet looking M you have created. Looks great man. If you are seriously interested in some more performance parts, email me with what you are looking for and all the info on your car (year, etc) and I will see what I can come up with. I honestly don't know what we deal with in performance parts. I know we are big into Dinan, but other than that, I would have to look into it.

:)

Tweaked beyond an M 3&5 series, eh?
NASTY! I LIKE IT!!!
I miss doing car stuff like when I was younger, I need to do that again!
Had an old VW bug, 64 Ford fullsize with a 390, and my last project was an MGB, loved that thing, could corner on rails!

I am severely jealous of that sweet ride Brian, nice work!

I am looking for the Euro S52 oil cooler kit (Dinan's part # - D570-0368) and something similar to the Stage I suspension (D90-320K).

I recently found a Racing Dynamics oil cooler for $780. That is about as cheap as it gets. I think the Dinan is up in the thousands (why, i have no idea)...

I will look into it for you. And yea, Dinan is hella expensive. I assume I get a discount though, so I will check for you. I will also see what else I can get OTHER than Dinan, although we might just deal with Dinan only.

It MAY have to wait a few weeks though, as my boss in on holidays and he is the main Dinan/performance guy in the shop. He does all the pricing and ordering. I will see if anyone else can do it though, other than that, it will might have to wait. :)

Wait a minute........you already said you wouldn't let me work on your car! So WHY should I do this then????? heeheehee :D :p

I finally found a small pic of the Phoenix Yellow SMG M3 that I shall possess one day. I drove one the other day after doing a 2000k service on it (change diff and tranny fluid). It makes a very nice avatar, don't you think? :)

Here is a pic of me in a 2001 740i that we stuck a $30,000 Dinan supercharger on for the owner. It was acting funny, so I had to drive it for the weekend in hopes that the DME would get used to the new settings and it would run better. I REALLY didn't want to do that..............hehehehee. Yea right. That bugger is fast. :D

Damn that looks realistic. Is it pre-rendered or real time? What are the specs that rendered the pic? SGI system? Frame rates?
I never thought IQ could look that good. More realistic than Final Fantasy movie.
