I do believe it will be THE turning point in the PC gaming world. Maybe I am just being overly optimistic, but I really do believe it. Anyone else feel the same way?

I don't know about all that, but I'm excited about Vista.

I'm extremely excited about it, and yeah, I do believe it and DirectX10 are what will help bring PC gaming into the mainstream.
But I'm definitely ready for a new operating system with flashy new graphics and features. Looking forward to seeing the AeroGlass feature of Vista. XP is just looking so old and dated to me these days.

Yeah I'm pretty excited too. Well I've been using RC2 for like 3 months now...so the excitement has worn of a little...but I can't wait to get my retail copy. And drivers that support SLI...

Can't you say something positive about Vista? While its not your holy grail of Linux, it can't be ALL bad, can it? Aren't 95%+ of problems user created anyways?
^I'm not being sarcastic or rude...I'm serious. I'd really like for you to list 5 things you legitimately like about Vista. We all know the 7000 "features" you hate. ;)

I'm excited about Vista. At least half the interaction with my PC I do is simply with the UI of the OS, and frankly I prefer Vista to XP. The fact that my OS experience is about to get better is something that find extremely exciting. I'm not genuinely sure it'll be God's gift to gaming, but I doubt it'll hurt in the long run.
