Is this just another driver related issue with the 8800 series cards? I can set my VSync Prerender Limit as low as 1 but if I set it to 0 my computer will freeze when I launch a game. I used to always run it at 0 with my 7900 GTX  Anyone else tried setting it to 0 and launching a VSync enabled game? I want it to 0 to keep the mouse lag to a minimum when VSync is enabled.

When I set my two 8800GTS's to 0 I have problems ,so I just keep it at three.

Yeah, it can be set to 3, 2 or 1 but just not 0 for some reason http://forums.stangnet.com/images/smilies/banghead.gif

Same problem here, "0" = No no

That sucks too. Because setting it at 0 virtually eliminates mouse lag when VSync is enabled. Hopefully it's just driver related and will be fixed eventually :(

Hi guys,

This thread is now more than a year old.
The problem is still not fixed :thumbdwn:
I own an Nvidia GeForce 8800 GTS 512.
I want to play with V-Sync on.
The newest official beta driver 174.74 has the option "max frames rendered ahead".
Setting it to 0 causes a system crash.

What the hell??
So it is gpu related??
Because some people said that it worked with a 7900 gtx.
