Dunno how to describe it better.....

As soon as it starts doing some work "3D" its begins with this rythmic noise from the card itself... a very high pitched wiiiIIIwuuuUUU etc etc :)

Anyone else ? should i return it ?

I think that might be normal. I'll see if I can find the other threads on this.

Edit: Actually, I'm not sure how to search for it. There are some threads mentioning a beep and some mentioning another noise. There is an explanation for why that happens but it might take a lot of searching to find the right thread. Hopefully someone else will respond and point you in the right direction.

Edit: Here is one thread but I don't think this is your issue: http://www.nvnews.net/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=80187&highlight=8800+noise I'll keep looking...

My BFG 8800GTX does that too.. I think it's harmless behaivour.

The sounds becomes more audible when the framerate is really high.. also it's pitch depends on the framerate.. (higher fps, the higher the pitch)

Probably the coils on the card starting vibrating (electro magnetism) and starting to produce the sounds.
