Wow, that's quite a jump from the previous 100 drivers leaked. Let us know! I don't have Vista or I'd try them out. Also, this means that Laptopvideo2go will have them soon as well!

Can you please test SLi, there's a fair few people using SLi (or 7950GX2's) in Vista who can only use 1 card, cheers!

You rang Sir ?

Onto it, DLing now, will have up in an hour or so.
Should have modded INF up a lot sooner than that :)

You know where to go, hopefully George from MS will not want these revoked ;)

I've just tested them and got around the same performance as 100.30 (tested on company of heros) a bit laggy though.

i don't have sli so can't test that.

Have you figured a way to make Vista drivers run on XP?

RanCorX2

^ i don't think that'll happen or be possible. right?

Have you figured out a way to make XP drivers work in Win9x ?
It ain't going to happen, don't look back, vista is here to stay.
A lack of XP drivers will force Vista to become main stream as XP did to Win 9x.

I havn't even installed XP on my lappy.
This doesn't mean I'm over joyed with Vista.

No, I understand. I was just wondering if you did a manual update through the Device Manager, what would happen? I tried that with the 100.30 and Windows should my driver as that, but the nvidia contral panel still showed the 9x.xx driver. Weird. Anyways, I didn't know if there were certain files that could be updated, kind of like DX does you know? LOL I plan on getting Vista, but I'm going to wait for a while.

Vista uses completely different files, not even slightly compatable with XP.
NV4_disp.sys (XP) = nvd3dum.dll (Vista) etc etc

There probably will be a 100 series driver for XP, just not yet.
NV is busy with Vista, so I doubt XP is getting priority.

The Mainstream GPU's will be out soon, putting another nail in the XP coffin.

There will be XP driver support for a very long time to come but expect updates to be less frequent and more bug fixes, rather than new features or performance increases (8800 range will no doubt see some performance boosts though)

Yeah, I'm not complaining about XP drivers at all. I actually really like the ones I'm using now. I'll be hitting the 8800 scene here in a few weeks though! :D Still using XP.

No actual feedback about these drivers yet? Come on people who are at home... What are you waiting for to benchmark the heck out of them?

RanCorX2

i don't go by bencharks, if a game plays like crap i just go back to the last driver i used.

RanCorX2, could you at least check if there are any additional settings in the control panel? I'm waiting for video settings. I need things like video color adjustments, edge sharpening etc.

the video section is not there again...sigh nor was the resolution section either, i've uninstalled them.

You change resolution by right-clicking on the desktop and selecting Display Settings.

So far I cannot see any diff between these and 100.30 though.

yea i know, just saying than the control panel is still incomplete.

Not for 8800.... setup doesn't work and trying to install through device manager results in a very odd listing of cards. Some 6xxx and 7xxx series, but not comprehensive at all. Mostly mobile cards.

Edit: Do I just need to modify the INI or do we know if its not intended for the 8xxx series?

Nevermind.
