Hi all,

I just purchased a XFX 8800 GTX, XXX version, and was wondering if the PC Power and Cooling 510 SLi will work? I have been using it with 2 BFG 6800 Ultra OC's for some time, and would think it would work with a single 8800, the peak wattage is 650, continuous is 510.

+5V @ 40 amps
+12V @ 34 amps

Should work fine.

Yeah you are fine the 8800GTX uses less power under load than two 6800 Ultras.

Wow, thanks for the quick responses! Glad it will work since my card comes today, overclocked at 230 / 2000! Yeah baby!

I had another question, I have the Antec Nine Hundred, that has two 120mm fans in front, one on the back, and a 200mm fan on top (power supply is on the bottom).

The 120mm fan that is on the side case, over the video card, and cpu, should I have it sucking out, or blowing in to cool this card.

Thanks

Which direction is it mounted in stock form? Thats the direction you want ;)

I wouldn't put any thought into the way the fans were originally on the case. I wouldn't trust some warehouse personnel that probably makes around 8-9$/hr to make that kind of decision for me and my expensive computer parts. I owned a case once that had all the fans blowing in the wrong direction when I got it; when I switched them around, my temps dropped considerably.

You want it sucking in fresh air on top of the video/CPU.

Thats a good point, but I bet it is a rarity.

Not a rarity, when I got my Nine Hundred, the two fans in the front were sucking in, and the one on the back was sucking in as well...LOL

The fan wasn't included, so I can't put it the way the case maker intended anyway. I'll try it your way Xeon, it's the way I was leaning anyway since the closest fans to it (the rear fan, and 200mm top fan) both suck out.

Thanks again for the help!

Well from what I hear Antec's QC is going down hill...

Yes it will work and work very well at that.I own three different power supplies from PC Power and Cooling.I have never had a problem with
any of them.Over priced for what they are,but damn solid, with great CS if you need it.

I used to run a X2 4800+ and a single eVGA 8800GTX with that PSU before. No problem at all.
