I predict long days and nights of continuing flame wars. :)

These drivers might actually be a bit different. Let's give nvidia the benefit of doubt and download them.

No sweat off my back. I don't even have Vista...yet... :D Anyways, I sure as hell wouldn't be bitchin' as much as the people have been around here! It's really getting annoying and bringing a black cloud over the site.

Yeah, would be nice if they added Geforce 6 and 7 to that list..

Well I'm dissappointed. I can't play anything with 100.54. There's so much texture corruption that it makes everything unplayable. Except for Oblivion, which after 10 minutes of testing doesn't seem to have any issues. But NWN2 and Company of Heroes are unplayable. Damn.

Are you running an 8800? I have no issues with company of heroes at all, infact i got a better benchmark than in XP.....you patched upto v1.4 in COH?

Alright seriously... I figured these would be the drivers, disappointing yes because they aren't all that good. I will say that sine flashing my 8800GTS to 648/1000/1512 this thing is running really well in vista. Oblivion, Just Cause, R6 Vegas, CODUO all test fine and run very well. Slightly slower than XP but bearable. Here's hoping that some new ones leak sooner than later!

I'm guessing you were trying to post in the Farcry thread... :captnkill:

Farcry thread? You mean because I'm whining that my seven hundred dollar video card works like crap?

No, because you commented in this thread about a 1.4 patch. I'm guessing you were answering in the wrong thread... Somebody asked you "Are you using an 8800 and the 1.4 patch?" and you replied here instead of there, hence my Farcry assumption, the ongoing thread in the other forum. ;) Never saw you were talking about COH. Sorry. :(

First time post :)

Ok so 100.54 and nTune 5.05.25 installed in Vista Ultimate, all updated through Vista Updater.

When I ran in XP I used to fire up nTune and adjust GPU fan speed to 100%, took like 3 times to get it to stick, then ran NVIDA Monitor to watch temps as the day went by. Normal startup for me and was np really.

Now in Vista there is no more GPU fan speed controls and something about my BIOS needs updating to run nTune. Motherboard is Gigabyte GA-K8N-SLI with a AMD 4200+ dualcore, 2 gig ram. hmm.. cant seem to find a updated BIOS.

So question is... is there a way to adjust GPU fan speed now ?

It mentions that SLI for 8800 will be later? Is SLI supposed to be working now? I select it, Windows asks for a restart. Get back to Windows, and SLI is disabled.

7800gtx here.

No SLI right now.

DirectX 9 and OpenGL NVIDIA SLI support for GeForce 6 and 7 series GPUs and DirectX 10 NVIDIA SLI support for GeForce 8800 GPUs will be available in a future driver

Well. That is the suck. :thumbdwn:

Thanks Greeno

Hope that fix's the GPU fan speed issue. Not sure if it will as there is no controls in nTune for that anymore. It says GPU fan speed has been removed.

The BIOS update will/should/maybe fix the NVIDIA Monitor Issue

Will look at Rivatuner.

Not sure why in the heck they would remove GPU fan speed adjustments tho.
