The reason I am making such a big deal out of this is that I fetchin' loved this memory when I had it. You could easily get 4-4-4-5 1120MHz.

Also this memory is very hard to manufacture, because of the extreme clocks. So the yields are not very good. Finally back in stock at NewEgg and they have 9 kits.:D

Recent BIOS updates (ASUS Striker Extreme) have even further increased this memory's performance! Corsair specifically designed this memory for the 680i platform.

I plan to have 4GB of this stuff when I have the cash. I may be a bit (crazy) but I love these overclocking sticks of joy.:p

$459 for 2GB of memory is just crazy. That's more than you'll pay for an 8800GTS or mid-range Conroe.

Memory pricing is really getting out of hand. I paid in the high 3's for my G.Skill, and I don't think I would ever go over that. Even that seemed too much at the time.

It's just not worth it to me for the small increase you see in performance, but to each his own. :)

I dont need $500 ram to do 1100 4-4-4 lol. my $325 does that. this is a bragging rights only product.

I would love to see a CPU-Z of your RAM doing 4-4-4-5 1120MHz with your CPU overclocked by 1GHz. Or 4-4-4-5 950MHz 1T. If Ballistix could do that not only would I be impressed I would get those sticks instead.

Must have received another shipment at NewEgg because they now have 19 kits in stock.:p

I see minimal performance gains for that price.

Tiki, my G.Skill runs at 1000mhz @ 4-4-4-5 1T stock.

The Ballistix are some of the best in the business and overclock really well, also. I've seen DDR2 667 Crucial overclocked stable to 1000mhz 4-4-4-5 1T. My best friend has a set.

Thanks man I will take these things into consideration. I will do some more research. But I must say that my experience with PC-9136 was awesome when I had it.:D

You people are utterly insane. Come on man $450 for memory? For a minimal performance gain? I bet if I was to have that memory instead of the one I had now, I wouldn't notice a single difference. And I paid less than $200 for my 2GB of PC6400 5-5-5-12. Face it, it's a waste of money.

:rofl Slow down partner. I have the money. I have had this RAM before. And yes there is actually I nice difference (besides bragging rights of course). Prior to purchasing this RAM last time I had the same RAM you have now.

Not people around where I live. I asked my local Corsair wholesale agent about this type of RAM, and they told me due to lack of demand they didn't have any in stock, and if I wanted to buy them they would place an order for me but it would take a month at least for the shipment to arrive.
