this would be mine if it werent so large.
i cant make it fit the requirements without brutally annihilating the overall image.
I can't make it any smaller than 30Kb...

Niiiiice. I should have known that... I thought it was probably imageshacked at first, but I should have known better since I didn't have a million popups. ;)
Yea, that was one of the most amazing Crysis scenes I have ever seen.

Best I could do was 167Kb (down from the 1.5MB file)...

Crysis will change the gaming world as we know it.
I can get it down to within limits but quality/pallete count has to drop quite a bit

I tweaked the the timing to be a bit better on this one

w00t thanks Clay (& evilghost for trying) :)
it might not represent the scene as it should but its still something decent & better than my previous dull avatar :D
EDIT : the second one - while is fast - still looks good to me. i might consider it.
here's a slightly tweaked version of that second one you mentioned...I slowed down the first few frames to try and match the original timing

Yeah looks better to me. here you can see the flying objects (i.e the physics) clearer!
again thanks Clay for your time!! :)
For anyone interested in seeing just how much of a difference a few kilobytes here and there can make to overall bandwidth...check this out:

I know this is off topic, and I apologise- but is there a video of this somewhere? I never knew that there were mini-nukes in Crysis. I'd love to see all of that scene if there is any more to it. Thanks. ;)
It's one of these from GDC, I forget which one exactly.
