Does anybody know of a way to create an exclusion list of programs for UAC, so I won't get prompted to elevate applications I need to run in admin mod (such as BF2142 or Oblivion Mod Manager)? The UAC Security Policy has nothing like that listed, and trying to modify the policy to be less restrictive makes Windows complain that I've turn UAC off.

I posted about this a few weeks back.

Currently, your only choice is to disable UAC. Sucks, doesn't it?

Where do you turn it off at?

Windows Logo > msconfig (in search box) > Tools Tab > Scroll about half way down

Thanks! That's an interesting setup in msconfig now. I kind of like the new tool list.

You can also disable it from control panel, under user accounts.

Yea, UAC in its current form is pretty annoying for us enthusiasts.

Personally I am glad they finally implemented something like UAC. Good things will come from it, just give it time for the ISV's to catch up.
