I don't believe Vista allows the driver to control vsync in D3D anymore. See the note below from Nvidia on this. BTW, it's the same way on my 2nd system that is using the X1900XTX (i.e. can't control vsync from the CCC).
Due to architectural changes in the new Windows Vista Window Display Driver Model (WDDM), the graphics driver can no longer disable vsync from its own driver or Control Panel. Selecting this option from the NVIDIA Control Panel will have no affect on DirectX applications. For applications that use Direct3D on Vista, use the vertical sync setting within the application. We are adjusting the help text in the NVIDIA Control Panel to make this clearer to our customers.

Is that the reason which make SLI broke in Vista? :(
I don't think so but I'm not sure. Seems like I remember seeing info about that though so I'll see if I can find the link.
Edit: It's going to sound like an excuse, but this article has an interview that kind of explains why SLI isn't up to par yet.

Thanks Dude, that worked!
Howdy all,
This worked for me in XP but now I can't set my refresh rate to 85HZ (1600 x 1200) within Vista. Recently went to a dual monitor set up using the CRT as my gaming monitor.
Using the latest signed Nvidia drivers - 8800 GTX.
Any suggestions would be welcome!
