NATURALLY, you had to post a 3DMark score between the time I read this post and the time I posted "no word on performance yet." ;) Who cares about 3DMark, though... I don't even have it installed, it'd kill my GF3. :D

from past history, if there are any super performance drivers released, theyll be called detonator 5.0 i think
Why don't they work?
Oh ****, I have a Radeon installed. Me forgot (again). :\

Found some more info about these drivers (source: DriverHeaven.net):
Dell have released some new Nvidia Detonator 43.30 for windows 2000/XP! these Detonator drivers only seems to support the Quadro4 and 700XGL series of cards! but not to worry we have the technology to fix that
Read it all here:

the inf files i posted up in this (http://www.nvnews.net/vbulletin/showthread.php?s=&threadid=8601) thread would allow you to use 4x.xx driver on all nvidia video cards, give it a try if you just cant wait.

these drivers are junk imo. tested with my new FX ultra 5800 i lose nview and media center capabilities. also, under settings where you set your resolution it dropped my number of choices to the bare minimum. 800x, 1024x, 1280x, 1600x. whereas with
43.00 i had every increment without a problem.
i would definitely stick with the 43.00 drivers, which is also recommended by my card maker PNY as its on a fillin sheet in the box, to go to their site and install and use the 43.00 drivers with the card.
ok for games... and every game i play seems ok... only 3dmark 2k3 doesnt like them very much. i dont lose much fps in games... if any.

cool thx for the report.
Any change in quality? Does these drivers fix the Vertex Shader bug in 3D Mark 03? Any AF, AA peformance increase?
How does 16xAA bench versus 8xS and are there noticable improvements?
its hard to tell the improvments... here is some screenshots here:
http://www.nvnews.net/vbulletin/showthread.php?s=&threadid=8617
to me... its not a huge performance hit over 8xaa... i dunno, i have the feeling its not doing "true" 16xaa
I tried these and had to "add" all the resolutions back into the INF to get them to work properly. There are bugs in D3D with 3D Mark 03 in the sound test where the smoke trails will render with errors. This was with 8xAF and 8xS AA. I didn't bother testing any other setting since this is what I actually use.
I couldn't even load the maxextreme drivers so I ditched them.
Back to 43.00 for now.
