Good Good. Can't believe I didn't get into this earlier. I always assume it was too expensive.
I also recall, TechNet is relatively new in AU. I know NZ are still pretty much out of the loop.

MSDN when the company pays for it, is a god send. It usually benefits the company too, chances are by the time the company is "officially" evaluating software, I'm already pretty handy with it.

Sweet. The subscription is 350AUD per year. So I can get Office and Vista cheap now. But I guess to contine using them I'd need to keep the subscription going (Still after 3 years it would still come under $1000). I will investigate this more... Have a word with the boss. Sounds like something he would pay for. :D
Aha! but you're wrong! after one year (when you subscription expires) the software DOES NOT deactivate. It continues working perfectly fine! And should you run out of keys for your software, (your given 10 to start) you can call them up and get more. Even if your subscription has expired!!

I know. Bamn informed me of all the details. We have a subscription at work now. The boss thought the same as me, he didn't know it was available in AU and he didn't know the costs were so reasonable.

I just loaded up the ultimate last night. I've been using the beta since it came out, and it has been pretty nice. The learning curve is trying to figure out where stuff is, and in the beta, you couldn't bring up a context menu for when you get lost looking for a feature. I still hate IE7 for the fact that it is a pita to get to the options.
@belarnion: Looks good, I've been getting used to being able to see 2 full pages at once, and it is pretty sweet.
you can turn the normal menu bar on like in IE6

But it's soooo hard :p I mean....you have to press...alt. OMG!!! So hard!!!! :D
Fwiw, I love office 2007.
I am using the enterprise version, still waiting for m$ to offer it on the discounted company list (19 bucks baby) but might be a few months.
The new outlook is a godsend IMO.

Same here, I am using enterprise. I love it. The outlook is awesome not to mention Onenote which they have this time around. It's perfect for college students.
Enterprise here as well. Not sure what the different versions are out there, but I'm guessing this one is the one with all the bells and whistles? Whomever mentioned about turning the color scheme to black, thanks, because I didn't know that was in there.

I love that the themes are now matched up with the windows themes. Anyone know if office will be skinable? (Or theme-able?)
